How Long Does It Take to Learn the Quran Online?
Noorani Qaida: 3–6 months
Learning the Arabic letters, their sounds (Makharij) and joining them usually takes 3–6 months with 3–5 classes a week. Young children (4–6) may take a little longer; adults often finish faster.
Reading the Quran (Nazra): 6–12 months
Once the Qaida is complete, students read directly from the Mushaf with a teacher correcting mistakes live. Most reach fluent reading with basic Tajweed within a year.
Tajweed: 4–6 months
A focused Tajweed course covers Noon Saakin, Meem Saakin, Madd, Qalqalah and stopping rules, with practical recitation.
Hifz: 2–4 years
Memorizing the whole Quran with daily Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil takes most children 2–4 years. Juz Amma alone usually takes 6–12 months.
What speeds it up
Daily classes (5 a week), the same teacher every time, 10–15 minutes of home revision and parents checking progress make the biggest difference.
